Introduction to the Program
An unforgettable learning vacation
Specifically designed for the parents of children participating in our French immersion summer camp at Camp Cap à l'Orignal, this program is ideal for parents who wish to refresh or upgrade their French communication skills while vacationing nearby their children. It aims at improving familiarity with the language by integrating participants in an enjoyable cultural and language learning experience.
Description of the Program
Our program is based on a communicative approach. You will acquire greater fluency through participation in formal workshops and the daily use of French with host families and other members of the community. You will live the language as you communicate in French in real-life situations.
- One to three weeks, from July 4th to July 24 , 2010
- Daily Three-hours workshops (Monday to Friday)
- Group of 4 to 8 participants depending on levels
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Homestay
In order to promote a total immersion, participants are invited to live with carefully selected host families. You will enjoy a unique learning experience as you share your daily life with a welcoming and experienced host family.

Over the past 77 years, Trois-Pistoles has welcomed more than 20,000 Canadian and international students.

L'Académie des langues de Trois-Pistoles is a local non-profit organization advocating intercultural understanding through the cooperative learning of languages and cultures in a setting that fosters ecological awareness and stewardship of the environment.
You can also discover the natural beauty of the St. Lawrence Estuary, its stunning land and seascapes, marine life and spectacular sunsets. Hiking and sea kayaking, whale observation and boating excursions - this is an ecological paradise like no other.

You will share in the daily lives of local residents who carry with them the distinct traditions of their community.
The setting is peaceful and safe, of outstanding natural and cultural beauty, and completely francophone. Modernity and a sense of heritage, urban and rural life - they all come together harmoniously here. The entire region is open to outdoor adventure and exploration, with a profound respect for history, right along the seaway that helped build Francophone North America.
Socio-cultural and outdoor Activities
During your stay, you may take the opportunity to tour the Lower Saint-Lawrence region. You will have the chance to immerse yourself in Québécois culture through theatre and concerts, film, evenings of storytelling, visits to local museums, and encounters with artists and artisans of the region. A "Route des saveurs" can be designed for you so you can enjoy the renaissance of our regional gastronomy.
Price : $525 per person per week (Canadian dollars).
Includes workshops, 3 meals a day and accommodations.
