Our mission, based on the community experience in welcoming international language students for more than 70 years, can be stated as follows :

By means of educational stays (language-culture-nature) that ensure quality, safety, authenticity, a warm welcome, and respect for the environment, l'Académie des langues de Trois-Pistoles, a non-profit organization, helps to construct a sustainable tourism industry by developing responsible attitudes towards the natural environment and towards cultural communities through the teaching of language. In this way, we wish to promote intercultural exchange and understanding, as well as build greater awareness for the role played by all citizens of the Americas as protectors of the environment.

This assumes a long-term vision :

With this expertise, l'Académie des langues de Trois-Pistoles wishes to administer a year-long series of international programs dedicated to the learning of French and of Québécois culture (while also promoting the discovery of francophone culture in general, and the learning of other living languages of the three Americas).

Along with its programs in language instruction designed for distinct client groups, l'Académie des langues is expanding to offer, in partnership with other organizations, a variety of outdoor adventure and learning packages that emphasize the region's history as well as its cultural and natural heritage.

All of these programs are founded on a strong and authentic contact with the communities of Trois-Pistoles / Les Basques and the Lower St. Lawrence.
