Services

In Trois-Pistoles and the surrounding region, you will find all the services necessary to make your stay a pleasant one. Shopping malls, specialized boutiques, shops selling any number of goods, health services, stalls where artisans display their works, professional services, and banking institutions all contribute to the high quality of life available in the area.

Our region benefits from a sophisticated network of social services as well as health services, in particular, a 24/7 emergency response system, a short stay clinic (72 hours), a Family Medicine Clinic (Groupe de médecine familiale or GMF), psychological and social support services, mental health resources and physical rehabilitation. We also have access to specialized medicine thanks to two regional health centers/hospitals.

Trois-Pistoles and the surrounding region can also be proud of their long tradition in education. The Fleuve-et-des-Lacs School Board, two community colleges in Rivière-du-Loup and Rimouski, l'Université du Québec à Rimouski and the University of Western Ontario's French Immersion School in Trois-Pistoles all contribute to an environment that privileges formal learning and education.

Finally, if, in our region, culture and heritage nourish the spirit and soul, then infrastructures for sports, leisure, and outdoor activities maintain the well-being of the body. Visitors and residents enjoy boating excursions of observation and discovery, skating at local arenas and outdoor rinks, swimming at the regional indoor pool as well as outdoor pools, golf courses, skiing, bicycle paths and hiking trails, multi-purpose outdoor installations, gyms, sports and fitness clubs, campgrounds, and trails for ATVs and snowmobiles. Trois-Pistoles is also the only town in Canada with a " cancha " and " fronton " (a ball court and wall) to play pelote basque.
